Prakash Raj Is Villain In Rohit Shetty Directed SINGHAM

By FNN | March 20, 2011, 5:44pm IST
After the super hit Golmaal 3 last year, director Rohit Shetty is busy making his next venture ‘Singham’ starring Ajay Devgn and southern beauty Kajal Aggarwal. Latest news is that, while Ajay plays an honest cop in the movie, Rohit has signed none other than prominent south actor Prakash Raj to play the baddie in the movie. The three-time National Award winning actor was his first choice as he played the same role superbly in the original Tamil version which the movie is a remake of. The actor is ecstatic to work Rohit and the full team as he loves their style of working. He confirms, “The unit of ‘Singham’ is a great bunch of talented and creative people, especially Rohit! He is a gen next director and his working technique is impressive. Not only does he shoot in a fast paced manner, but at the same time also ensures that every shot is perfect and we give our best every single time.” Even though the actor just finished shooting one schedule of the film and is back down south to complete his commitments there, news is that he can’t wait to get back on the sets on ‘Singham’. “The entire unit is like a family and I’m waiting to join Rohit and the entire team for the next schedule” quips the actor. Prakash Raj was seen last seen playing the bad boy in ‘Wanted’ and has previously done Hindi films like ‘Shakti-The Power’ and ‘Khakee’. ‘Singham’ produced by Reliance Pictures is set to release on 22nd July.
