Mallika Sherawat turns 'Laila' in 'Tezz'

Box Office India was the first to report that Mallika Sherawat was keen on doing the item number in Ajay Devgn - Anil Kapoor’s Tezz being directed by Priyadarshan. Those who have heard the item number, Laila laila, are raving about it and feel it will be a chartbuster.

Producer of Tezz, Ratan Jain confirms Sherawat's involvement. "Yes, Mallika is doing an item song in the film and we will be shooting it very soon. We wanted to put some flavour in the film. Mallika is a good friend and so she agreed to do the number."

So will the song have the Indian touch, like Munni, Sheila, Jalebi and Chikni Chameli? "No, this song will be shot against the backdrop of London so it will not have the desi tadka. It is called Laila and Ganesh Acharya will choreograph it," says Jain.
