"We had no time to invite too many people" - Nikhil Dwivedi on his wedding

Newly-married actor Nikhil Dwivedi is currently enjoying his new marital status. The marriage took place on Monday and now Nikhil wants to host a huge wedding reception on 18 March.
Nikhil wife's name is Gauri which is coincidentally Shah Rukh Khan's wife's name. Shah Rukh had at one time played mentor to Nikhil. He is expected to attend the reception.
Actor Nikhil Dwivedi who underwent a flash-wedding on Monday March 9 is perplexed by all the misinformation that has appeared in the press about the wedding. "They wrote it was my wedding reception and that it took place at my residence. It was my wedding…the reception is later this month. And the marriage took place at a friend's beach house."
The turn-out was sparse. "We had no time to invite too many people. The only people from the film industry whom we pointedly invited were the ones who won't be in Mumbai for the reception like Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and Sonu Sood. Now I hope to see all my friends at our wedding reception."
Speaking on the sudden marriage, Nikhil says, "It was all so sudden because of the auspicious date. Monday, we were told, by the pundits, was a fine day to get married. The other dates just couldn't match. So Gauri and I took the plunge. In any case our relationship was an open secret. Gauri and I have known each other for some years. She has been an integral part of my life and my parents know her and are fond of her. So the wedding was just a formality."
Nikhil's wife Gauri Pundit too is part of the entertainment business.
Says Nikhil protectively, "Gauri is a model. But not an overly ambitious one. I don't know if she'd want to pursue her career after marriage. The choice is entirely hers."
No honeymoon for the newly-married couple. Nikhil starts shooting for a remake of Rahul Rawail's Arjun where he plays Sunny Deol's role.
"I need to consolidate my career now. I've my wife to look after. We can go on several honeymoons after I have established my career." says the actor.
