Back in 2011, action star Jason Statham was reportedly in talks to take on the villain role in Fast and Furious 6. That part ultimately went to Luke Evans, but it looks like we will finally see Statham join the popular franchise in next summer's Fast and Furious 7. Desde Hollywood recently spoke to Michelle Rodriguez, who returns as Letty Ortiz in part 6, about what the introduction of Statham would bring to the franchise. Rodriquez responded with quote, "Jason Statham, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, when you see these guys in a room you know they belong together...You can see in their eyes that they have gone through a lot...I applaud Universal for getting him on-board!" So who will Statham play in the 7th installment? Rumor is it will be Ian Shaw, brother of Luke Evan's character Owen Shaw in the film. No confirmation from the studio just yet, but we could possibly know for sure come May 24th when Fast & Furious 6 hits theaters. For a spoiler heavy breakdown on just how we may see Statham introduced, click the link in the description. Fast and Furious 7 is scheduled to hit theaters on July 11th, 2014 and will have the crew returning to Los Angeles. In addition to Statham, the cast will also include Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson and Tyrese Gibson. So who's excited to see Statham join the cast and do you think he'd make a good villain?
