After Student Of The Year, Varun Dhawan is aspiring to the title of naughtiest kid in town in his latest Main Tera Hero. Sreenath aka seenu aka Varun is the lovable college hero who is always up to no good. He is not averse to flirting with Sunaina, (Ileana) whom he truly loves, by using corny pick-up lines even as he has to play boyfriend to a mafia don's skimpily clad daughter, Ayesha (Nargis) who is in love with him. To complicate matters there is Angad (Arunoday Singh) a cop with anger issues who wants Sunaina all to himself because he has fallen in love with her. Yup all this would have made for a messy quadrangle but Director David Dhawan is a pro at this type of masala movie and he proves it yet again. Do not, do not, do not look for a story or logic in this one and it is obvious the makers don't intend for you to, just sit back and enjoy it. Main Tera Hero with its tried and tested formula is fun, cheerful and will keep a permanent smile, if not have you laughing most of the time.
Varun Dhawan looks right at home in this type of role and he gets to showcase the fact that he is indeed hero material by displaying his well sculpted body and playing to the gallery with his dancing, action and acting prowess. He is the perfect amalgamation of Govinda and Salman... and there can be no higher compliment than that! Nargis Fakhri and Ileana D'cruz as the hot and pretty bimbettes are in top form (if you know what i mean). Arunoday Singh gives a satisfying performance. The rest of the cast comprising of Anupam Kher, Rajpal Yadav, Saurabh Shukla, Evelyn Sharma, Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Shukla provide brilliant support. With foot-tapping songs, high-octane action scenes and a delightful love triangle, Main Tera Hero is a film where Varun Dhawan really shines.
