You guys can expect over an HOUR of IMAX from the dark knight come july...and we have the details!

According to the wall street journal, more than an hour of The Dark Knight Rises will be in IMAX, the most IMAX footage ever for any Hollywood feature, and 20 minutes more than we found in The Dark Knight. Of all the features that will show up on IMAX screens this summer, the Batman sequel is the only one actually shot using IMAX cameras—so uhhh as much as it pains me to say this.... take that, Avengers!

Im kid...I saw thae avengers and it was ridiculous...a review coming soon on that! NOW BACK TO THE BAT!!!! The article in the wall street journal also includes Nolan dismissing the idea that shooting in IMAX is a pain as most film makers claim....he said, ""There was a huge irony that we were told it would be too difficult to shoot a Hollywood movie on IMAX when we had this gigantic camera department, grips, electric, hundreds of people working for us. These were cameras that had been to the top of Mount Everest, to the bottom of the ocean and into outer space, but people thought we couldn't make a feature film. It was absurd."

If you guys were some of the lucky ones who caught the brief preview of The Dark Knight Rises that appeared on IMAX screens back in December, you've already gotten a taste and know how Nolan will be using the format this time, and how INTENSE that big screen can be with all those action sequences...or I dunno, introducing us to that villain that goes by the name, BANE.

We all know that Nolan is a huge advocate of IMAX, so this doesn't come as a shock to us...BUT one hour!! HOLY VISUALS BATMAN!!! We cant wait!!! SO will you guys be checking out the dark knight in imax when it hits the big screen july 20th? Let us know in the comment section below and keep visiting Funrahi.com
