We often hear many of you complaining that Hollywood has run out of ideas and this story just may give some credence to those claims. In a recent episode of It's A Wrap, we discussed where the next big movie ideas could come from. We covered everything from video games to YouTube videos, but one source we never saw coming was theme restaurants. That's right, according to Deadline, the production companies behind such films as The Hangover Part 3 and Jack and Jill are in the process of securing the film rights to, brace yourself, the Medieval Times restaurant chain in hopes of turning it into a movie franchise. For those of you unfamiliar, Medieval Times is a dinner show housed in a replica, 11th-century castle that features recreations of medieval tournaments that include jousting and sword fighting. The restaurant chain has been around for nearly 30 years and currently has nine locations. This won't be the first time Medieval Times will appear on the big screen as it was previously featured in both The Cable Guy and Garden State. No word yet if the film would take a comedic angle or go dramatic in an attempt to capitalize on the success of properties like Game of Thrones. So who out there thinks this could actually be a good movie and are there any other themed restaurants that could be ripe for a movie adaptation? Hard Rock Cafe: The Movie or Chuck E. Cheese's Big Adventure perhaps? Share your thoughts below or tweet us @Funrahi. Until next time, I'm Erin White, thanks for watching. -- Published on May 15, 2013
