COLOGNE, Germany - Fernando Ojeda is the new head of Universal Pictures Benelux, heading up local operations in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg for Universal Pictures International Entertainment (UPIE).
Ojeda, currently managing director of Universal Pictures Brazil, will take over as MD of Universal's Benelux operations Feb. 20. He will report to Pauline Grimaldi D'Esdra, regional managing director for France and Benelux.
Ojeda's focus will be on developing Universal's home entertainment business in the region. UPIE distributes Universal and Paramount titles on DVD/Blu-ray in the territory as well as third-party titles, including films from French major StudioCanal.
